REVITALIZATION AND TRANSITION

In general, bridge is seen as a structure spanning and providing passage over a gap or barrier, such as a river, mountain or roadway and the shape must not always be linear or arranged in or extending along a straight or nearly straight line. Thus, i tried to create 2 kind of bridges here. The first one is "track-circuit" bridge which is form as a long white transparent tube or pipe, that move around and bring us to the building. And the second one is the "wheel" bridge which becomes the track that could bring people from one offices come to other offices. CONNECTION.

what is REVITALIZATION AND TRANSITION?

Those two keywords are my concept and inspiration. Revitalization means revival, regenerate, re-new. And transition is described as the process or a period of changing from one state or condition to another. Thus, this bridge, two offices, all elevators and dining table should give the sense of my two keywords.

REVITALIZATION. Global warming is an average increase in the temperature of the atmosphere near the Earth’s surface and in the troposphere, which can contribute to changes in global climate patterns. And we, need to RESOLVE this. The "revitalization" concept is realized by using the recyclable material, and use the materials that could be recycled. Recycled materials are considered to be any materials that have been taken from the waste stream and reprocessed and re-manufactured to form part of a new product. After doing a short research about "recycled materials", i chose the combination of glass, steel and concrete materials, which also can be recycled after used.

TRANSITION. As we are entering the era of globalization, the technology becomes high and more developing. Thus, this building should follow this development, and even become more developed, as we will enter the "futuristic" world. This concept is realized by the usage of high techno elevators system, which will be going through and moving along the white transparent pipe and the high techno of light effects which could bring the sense of futuristic. PREMISES: ACCESS TO THE BRIDGE AND BUILDING

As the brief mention that "Environments change over time. Action and interaction within an environment provide a vehicle to synthesize information and make sense of continually shifting structures." So, i tried to consider the access of how we could get into the building (using car, helicopter, and speedboat)

I already provide the access or road that can be passed by car, and go into the building or offices.

TWO OFFICES-COCA COLA AND FACEBOOK

From the three companies option, i decided to choose coca cola and facebook company which i think have a huge dominant power to the world today. The Coca Cola office is dominant with red half-sphere color to express its branded product power and the Facebook company is filled by blue color that covered with the "networking" shape roof at the top of the main Facebook office. (SHOWN IN VIDEO)

The space below is used as meeting place for those company. I placed some rounded dining tables with the combination of blue and red color to express each company's power and connection.

MOVING BEYOND ICONIC TO EXTRAORDINARY

Basically, i have 4 different elevator that are used for :
1. Move up and down at each office (bring people to up and down level)
2. Move along the "wheel" which could bring people to the other offices
2. Move from one building to another building
3. Move along the white transparent "track" pipe

All elevators have different unique functions and shape which is used the combination of 'hydro-dynamic' and high technology power system that could make them operate and express each power's company. Basically, the elevator are form as a red/blue and textural sphere with 3D triangular popping shapes to give organic sense, matching the "revitalization and transition" concept.
